Mars Mushroom Dish
This small dish is wheel thrown, trimmed, and then hand sculpted mushrooms are added. I then hand paint the glaze and do a final firing. These are technically food safe, many use them as trinket dishes or ashtrays.
I call this glaze Mars as a homage to the red planet. It is and deep red with earthy and shimmery elements.
These ceramics should not be microwaved as they contain natural minerals in the glazes. Ceramics will live a much longer life if hand washed due to the temperature changes and harshness of a dishwasher.
